Description 

Wird ein Ticket über das Email2trac-Plugin erstell oder upgedated, so
erhalten der Besitzer und die CC-Nutzer keine Benachrichtigung über Email.

Die Fehlermeldung im syslog verrät, wo das Problem lag:

Jul 19 16:33:46 paedml email2trac trac: Failure sending notification on creation
of ticket #638: Can't extract file(s) to egg cache
The following error occurred while trying to extract file(s) to the Python egg cache:
  [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/www/.python-eggs'
The Python egg cache directory is currently set to:
  /var/www/.python-eggs
Perhaps your account does not have write access to this directory?
You can change the cache directory by setting the PYTHON_EGG_CACHE environment
variable to point to an accessible directory.

Der Apache-Prozess (www-data) hat tatsächlich keine Schreibberechtigung in seinem eigenen Homeverzeichnis (/var/www/). Ich habe das Verzeichnis /var/www/.python-eggs eingerichtet und www-data übereignet. Jetzt funktioniert die Emailbenachrichtigung.
